How Wolves Became Dogs

Gregor Mendel is a scientist who discovered the punnett squares by using peas for his experiment. As he did an experiment on peas, he noticed that yellow peas and green peas would always come out as yellow, but for the next generastion of peas, the green pea ratio was 1:3. He used the terms, "recessive" and "dominant" for example, both parent is Rr, so you'd put the male letters on the top of the 4 squared shape, and you'd put the female letters on the left side on it. Punnett squares look like this.

In the picture, the left square, which is RR, that would be Homozygus Dominant, which means they're both the same letters, and both have big R's. The squares on the top right and bottom left are Heterozygus dominant, which means that they both have a big R and a little r, but the R is more dominant than the r. On the bottom right, that's Homozygus recessive, which means they both have little r's.
